Gregory (GregX) Moore a lifelong resident of South Jamaica, Queens in New York. He experienced a turbulent childhood which was a reflection of the lumpen society in which he lived. His formal education concluded at the ninth grade level. Despite his criminal propensities he displayed an impeccable work ethic. However, the streets offered greater and faster financial rewards and consequences that his immature mind had not calculated. The ultimate result of this decision was legal and substance abuse issues. On June 1, 1988 he says GOD intervened in his affairs by causing him to enter into rehabilitation freeing him from the grips of addiction from that day to the present without relapse into back into drug use. "
Since then he has offered himself as a servant to his community. Developing independent youth programs geared towards substance abuse prevention/treatment. He is an independent playwright, film maker, author and producer of the documentaries Ghetto Celebrities and Hip Hop & Detox. He presently works for the New York State Department of Corrections as a Substance Abuse Counselor as well as a consultant for LifeCamp Inc. working directly with the youth of South Jamaica, Queens. He Is a CASAC and trainer In these disciplines.
